Born in Meppel (NL), Tijn Heijblom studied Jazz Vocals at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree. After meeting teacher David Linx during his final year, he felt compelled to move to Belgium and get his Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Here, he also took lessons in composition from Diederik Wissels and Michelino Bisceglia.

Tijn finished off his studies with a Master’s degree in Education at the Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel and as of September 2022, he gives singing-, choir- and combo-lessons at the Academie voor Muziek en Woord de Noorderkempen in Hoogstraten (BE).
